Consulting
We conduct comprehensive analyses of sector-specific market access regimes and trade barriers impacting Ukrainian industries to facilitate their international expansion. Our extensive network of contacts enables us to provide support in diverse and distant regions and jurisdictions.
For technical assistance programs and think tanks, we offer project-based support on trade policy and regulatory matters. Our approach uniquely integrates trade, competition, and national security perspectives to deliver holistic insights.
The evolving dynamics of global supply chains, within various trade and investment protection treaty frameworks, give rise to new regulations and geopolitical considerations. Trends such as nearshoring and derisking are creating fresh opportunities for both international and domestic businesses. The recovery of Ukraine calls for new and unique instruments unleashing its historically underutilised transformative potential, such as the Ukraine Facility Plan. We assist foreign investors and Ukrainian businesses in navigating the barriers and opportunities emerging from these ongoing and nascent developments.
WTO law and preferential trade regimes are crafted to balance a wide array of stakeholder interests. However, certain support mechanisms, such as national cashback, local content requirements, industrial parks, and sector-specific support, may have distortionary effects. We provide expert evaluations of these support measures, assess their compliance with applicable obligations, and, when necessary, assist in challenging them. These tools serve a dual purpose: they can be effectively used by governments, agencies, NGOs, and industries to level the playing field for multinationals in Ukraine and for Ukrainian businesses in export markets.
GR and lawmaking
Our policy advisory services focus on identifying gaps in national regulations and developing tailored solutions that incorporate the latest international regulatory and enforcement trends.
For specific regulatory initiatives, we assist in verifying their compliance and enforceability against the obligations Ukraine has undertaken through its complex network of bilateral and multilateral treaties.
With trade and investment being the focus of interest at various international and regional fora, we support public bodies, diplomatic missions, NGOs, and other stakeholders in advancing trade- and investment-related actions and synchronizing them with the wider global agenda.
Trainings
Whether you are expanding beyond Ukraine or entering the Ukrainian market, we offer tailored trainings on regulatory frameworks, trade barriers, and strategies to overcome them.

Our focus encompasses various trade-related matters, such as: import/export tariff regimes, quotas and licensing, technical regulations and standards, sanitary and phytosanitary (SPS) measures, customs regulations, barriers to services trade, rules of origin, FDI preferences.
Partner Olesia Kryvetska, during her tenure at the WTO, contributed to the WTO Secretariat Report on Ukraine’s Trade Policy Review, where she worked on sections dealing with FDI and import-related laws and regulations. She also leads the International Trade Law Committee of the Ukrainian Bar Association, since its foundation in 2020. The Committee has been thriving as a dynamic community that fosters collaboration and innovation among experts in the field of international trade law and policy.
